AC making noise

- Loose panel or screws vibrating
- A fan blade hitting dust or slightly bent
- Worn fan bearing or motor

Safe checks you can try
- Notice when the noise comes: at start-up, while running, or at high fan speed
- Check the outdoor unit is firmly fixed and not touching a wall
- Make sure nothing (leaves, plastic) is stuck in the fan
- A rattle or grind that stays needs the fan or bearing checked
A sudden loud grinding or buzzing: switch off and get it checked before it damages the motor.
