Washing machine making noise

Why this happens

• An uneven floor or an unbalanced load
• Transit bolts left in on a new machine
• An object caught in the drum
• Worn bearings or the drum spider

Safe checks you can try

1. Level the machine and balance the load
2. Remove any coins or objects from the drum and filter
3. On a new machine, remove the transit (shipping) bolts at the back
4. A loud bearing noise needs a technician
