Washing machine not filling water
The machine will not take in water, or fills very slowly.

Why this happens
- The inlet tap is closed or the water pressure is low
- A clogged inlet mesh filter
- A kinked inlet hose
- A faulty inlet valve
Safe checks you can try
- Check the water tap is fully open and the pressure is normal
- Clean the small mesh filter where the hose meets the machine
- Straighten the inlet hose
- If it still will not fill, the inlet valve needs checking
A clogged inlet mesh filter is a common, easy fix. Clean it first.
